Nominations and Selection Process in Academic Colleges/Divisions
Each academic college/division will develop its own nomination and selection process that will ensure a fair and consistent evaluation of all nominees. That selection process should be clearly delineated on the college/division website and should result in the selection of a nominee to receive the college/division award. Once the college has its nomination for each Presidential Excellence award, the dean (or the dean’s designee) will write a letter which further discusses the nominee’s criteria for meeting guidelines for the specified award.
