DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC DEGREE PROGRAMSThe Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music is a 120-hour liberal arts degree program. Students must meet all requirements established by the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of the Arts including a foreign language sequence. Students may select guided electives outside of music to develop a minor in another discipline.
DEGREE PROGRAM MAPS
The Bachelor of Music with a major in music performance is a 124-hour professional degree program that prepares students for a variety of music, music performance, and music-related careers. It also provides the basis for further personal study or graduate school.
Students may select from a variety of different performance tracks within the Bachelor of Music with a major in music performance depending upon instrumental or voice performance specialty. These tracks include piano, organ, voice, orchestral instruments, guitar, and jazz.
The Bachelor of Music with a major in music performance is designed to enable students to develop the range of knowledge, skills, and competencies expected of those holding a professional baccalaureate degree in music performance.

The music education program at 国产AV is uniquely designed to meet the needs of public schools serving diverse students in the South Georgia region and beyond. The initial four-year program focuses intensely on musical and performance skills. Having achieved the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music degree, students immediately enter the comprehensive year-long Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Music Education. Immersed in learning strategies for high quality and high impact music teaching, our students launch into careers at the Georgia Department of Education T-5 level. An additional concurring track in the MAT program serves employed music teachers in need of certification as the degree is offered fully online and provides certification while continuing to teach.
