Strengthening Faculty Resources
Langdale College's faculty work diligently to provide our students with a current and relevant educational experience. Outside the classroom our faculty members are embarking upon rigorous research projects, papers, and public service. There is extreme competition among the nation’s top business schools. We must provide our business faculty with the resources they need to continue to attract the best and brightest young professors.
As the university continues its quest to become a research-oriented institution, we must provide professors with up-to-date technology and resources. Many professors travel to present papers and attend conferences to stay current and relevant in their various disciplines. State provisions do not come close to providing the funds necessary to cover these expenses. Private donors make it possible for Langdale College faculty to stay at the top of their fields.
You may wish to designate your funds to endow a chair or professorship. This endowment would be used to provide funds to support research endeavors, salary, teaching and graduate student support. An endowed chair is the highest honor that a University can bestow upon a faculty member. The chair represents reward, recognition, opportunity and incentive to the honoree by providing dedicated resources in order to enhance his/her research, teaching, and public service.
Named chairs and professorships are ways to honor business associates and/or family. Please contact us about details for any of the following:
